CROATIAN MEDICAL JOURNAL (CMJ)


CMJ is an international peer-reviewed Diamond Open Access journal published six times per year. The CMJ uses the Diamond Open Access model. This means that there are NO author processing fees and no fees to access the published papers. The free access is available on our web page as well as on PubMed Central.

CMJ is indexed in Biosis, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, PubMed/Medline, PubMedCentral (PMC), ISI Alerting Service, Science Citation Index-Expanded (SciSearch), Scopus.
Impact factor of CMJ for
2023 is 1.5, with Q2 quartile ranking.

CMJ owners are three Croatian Medical Schools (University Rijeka, Split and Zagreb). Founded in 1953 as Acta Facultatis Medicae Zagrabiensis.
Official journal of Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia (AMSC), International Society for Applied Biological Sciences (ISABS), and Croatian Center for Global Health.

CMJ permits and encourages authors to post items submitted to the journal on personal websites or intitutional repositories both prior to and after publication, while providing bibliographic details the credits, the publication in CMJ.

Each manuscript is checked for text similarity and manually verified by the editor. We use CrossRef Similarity Check with Ithenticate algorithm (https://www.crossref.org/services/similarity-check/) and deal with manuscripts suspected on plagiarism following the COPE flowcharts (http://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts) and ICMJE guidelines.

CMJ is a member of and subscribes to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
